<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants to serve as Clinical Leader to support the teams on the Combined Unit, Emergency department and Special Care Unit.</p><p>The primary location for this position is: <strong>Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll</strong></p><p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for the facilitation and coordination of patient services hospital wide</li><li>Responsible for role modelling, promoting problem solving, critical thinking and accountability in all daily activities</li><li>Promote an environment that fosters evidence-based practice, teamwork, quality improvement and empowerment through coaching.</li><li>Delegation of roles to team members.</li><li>Staffing during afternoon, night shifts and weekends.</li><li>Dispensing of medication when pharmacy is closed.</li><li>Bed utilization, facilitation and participation in interdisciplinary rounds on the Combined Unit and co-ordinate patient repatriations and transfers etc with the team.</li><li>Ongoing assessment and communication with Leadership and physicians when bed capacity is full to facilitate safe admission and discharge processes.</li><li>To provide assistance with nursing care in all clinical areas of the hospital and to determine and communicate the needs of the organization.</li><li>Knowledgeable about Cerner, Powerchart, Firstnet & Microsoft Office.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications Required:</strong></p><ul><li>Registered Nurse, currently registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario</li><li>Minimum of 1 year full-time (or equivalent) experience within the last two years in Emergency or Critical Care nursing, or in the Hospital&#39;s Special Care Unit (or a comparable unit in another hospital).</li><li>Minimum 3 years&#39; full-time (or equivalent) acute care nursing within the last 6 years; Leadership experience and/or recognized leadership courses an asset</li><li>Demonstrated excellence in all aspects of nursing practice, including assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and teaching</li><li>Demonstrated respect, interest and empathy in patient and family interactions </li><li>Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions</li><li>Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with all members of the health care team</li><li>Demonstrated effectiveness in communication and conflict resolution</li><li>Demonstrated skills in coaching, mentoring and team leadership</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development</li><li>Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality</li><li>Demonstrated excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions</li><li>Current certification in BLS, ACLS and I.V. insertion required</li><li>Current certification in CTAS, NRP, PALS, ENPC and TNCC preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Other pertinent conditions:</strong></p><ul><li>Salary as per the ONA collective agreement ($44.24 per hour to $61.68 per hour)</li></ul><p><strong>Applying to this Position:</strong></p><p>If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in applying for the position, please click on <strong>APPLY NOW</strong> and submit a resume detailing your qualifications.</p><p>Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include; weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings and night shifts.
