Architectural Sales Representative (Ontario)
Location: Ontario (GTA Preferred)
Compensation: $84,000 + Commission + Car Allowance + Fuel Reimbursement Benefits + RRSP Match
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Architectural & Design (A&D) Sales Representative to manage and grow a high-potential Ontario territory within the architectural building materials sector. This role is responsible for driving specification, project influence, and brand presence within the A&D community.
The successful candidate will inherit an existing book of business and will work closely with an internal outside sales partner to convert/pull-through specifications into active projects and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with:
- Architects
- Interior Designers
- Developers
- Specifiers and design firms
- Conduct 8+ lunch-and-learn presentations per month.
- Drive product specification on commercial and multi-residential projects.
- Collaborate with contractor-focused sales reps to convert specifications into sales.
- Manage pipeline and activity through CRM (HubSpot).
- Track KPIs, forecast opportunities, and report weekly to ownership.
- Attend industry events, design shows, and networking functions.
- Act as brand ambassador within the design community.

- Non-recoverable draw: ~$84,000 base
- Commission: 3% on all sales

- 3+ years in A&D sales within:

- Interior finishes
- Building products
- Strong network within:

- Highly professional presentation and communication style.
- Comfortable delivering technical product presentations.
- Self-driven, organized, and relationship oriented.
- Experience working on commission or draw-based compensation.
- Ability to influence specifications early in the project lifecycle.
- Strong personal brand within the design community.
- Consistent prospecting and relationship development.
- Confident in front of senior architects and designers.
- Collaborative mindset with contractor sales teams.
