Associate Manager, Financial Compliance

In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring Stryker Canada's financial statements meet the highest standards, influencing key decisions and supporting a culture of operational excellence.</p><h3><b>What You Will Do</b></h3><ul><li>Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and corporate policies.</li><li>Lead implementation of new accounting guidance and policies across the organization.</li><li>Monitor and review account reconciliations to ensure timely completion, proper documentation, and adherence to standards.</li><li>Communicate risks, opportunities, and issues impacting financial integrity with clear action plans and timelines.</li><li>Collaborate with shared services to oversee daily and month-end deliverables, ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations.</li><li>Provide variance analysis and concise commentary on financial results to support business decisions.</li><li>Drive finance initiatives such as Indirect Channel Management (ICM) and High-Risk Payments (HRP).</li><li>Partner with global controllership teams to facilitate internal and external audit activities.</li></ul><h2><b>What You Will Need</b></h2><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.</li><li>Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience.</li><li>Expertise in US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.</li><li>Proven experience with technical accounting and internal controls.</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Familiarity with Oracle and Hyperion systems.</li><li>Experience supporting audit processes in a global organization.</li></ul><h3></h3><h3><b>Additional Information</b></h3><ul><li>Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Canada-based).</li><li>Travel: Minimal, as required for business needs.</li></ul>Travel Percentage: 10%
