<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>PROFILE SUMMARY<br />The Building Maintenance Technician (PDS) of GN Corporations Inc. (GN) is a full-time position, responsible for conducting general maintenance, repairs and inspections on facility equipment and property structures, both interior and exterior.<br />SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS<br /> Clean interior & exterior of the building, as well as industrial machinery and equipment.<br /> Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance.<br /> Assist service technicians and machine operators during equipment preventive maintenance and rigging tasks.<br /> Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to maintenance manager.<br /> Operate Industrial equipment including overhead cranes, floor scrubber, lawn tractor, telehandler, snow blower, forklift and aerial platform as needed.<br /> Drive company vehicles as needed.<br /> Attending health and safety training pertaining to the job scope.<br /> Comply with health and safety regulations.<br /> Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms, monitoring online requests, and reporting maintenance statuses to management.<br /> Complete fire system and building perimeter inspections reports as defined.<br /> Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs.<br /> Work with and maintain relationships with contracted suppliers.<br />INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS PROFICIENCY<br />In addition to GN Corporations Inc. corporate requirements and recommended industry practices, being knowledgeable in the following regulatory and international standards requirements will be an added asset:<br />1. AS9100D (Aerospace)<br />2. ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), I<br />3. ISO 45001:2018 (Health & Safety),<br />4. ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental)<br />5. Controlled Goods Program</p><p>OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE<br /> Occupational Health and Safety Understanding and applying the GN Corporations Inc. Health and Safety policy as well as being responsible for his/her own health and safety at work, to avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of others through any act or omission.</p><p> Industry Standards and Regulations Being familiar with all relevant industry standards, recommended practices, and regulations. Monitoring self-compliance with company, industry and government requirements as well as promoting their acceptance in all aspects of GNs business-related activities.<br />MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS<br /> Ability to pass pre-employment screening checks.<br /> Valid Class 5 drivers License.<br /> Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift 50lbs loads.<br /> 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance duties preferred.<br /> Training as a carpenter, plumber, electrician, or other trade an asset.<br /> Basic computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office tools is an asset.<br /> Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools).<br /> Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.<br /> Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents.<br /> Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors.<br /> Ability to work in any shift.<br /> Safety tickets an asset (i.e., CSTS, First Aid, H2S Alive, Forklift, Fall Arrest and Aerial Platform)<br /> Basic understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 55001, AS9100D, IATF 16949 is advantageous.</p></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
