<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><b><strong>Position Summary</strong></b></p><p>The CAD Drafter/Designer is responsible for creating accurate shop drawings, layouts, and production files for custom cabinetry and millwork projects using <b><strong>2020 Design</strong></b> and <b><strong>Mosaik</strong></b> software. This role bridges the gap between design intent and production, ensuring that every project is accurately detailed, efficient to manufacture, and compliant with company standards.</p><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></b></p><ul><li>Produce <b><strong>detailed 2D and 3D cabinetry drawings</strong></b> using <b><strong>2020 Design</strong></b> and <b><strong>Mosaik</strong></b> software for residential and commercial projects.</li><li>Interpret architectural plans, client specifications, and design concepts to develop precise shop and installation drawings.</li><li>Generate <b><strong>cut lists, material lists, and hardware schedules</strong></b> directly from Mosaik for shop production.</li><li>Ensure drawings meet <b><strong>manufacturing, assembly, and installation</strong></b> requirements.</li><li>Work closely with project managers and shop personnel to clarify design details and resolve technical issues.</li><li>Update and revise drawings based on redlines or client changes.</li><li>Maintain company <b><strong>CAD standards, templates, and part libraries</strong></b> within 2020 and Mosaik.</li><li>Assist with <b><strong>CNC output and file preparation</strong></b></li><li>Support the estimating or design team with preliminary layouts and renderings when required.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Qualifications</strong></b></p><p><b><strong>Education & Experience:</strong></b></p><ul><li>Diploma or degree in Drafting, Architectural Technology, Industrial Design, or related field.</li><li><b><strong>2–5 years of experience</strong></b> in custom cabinetry, millwork, or casework drafting and design.</li><li>Proven experience with <b><strong>2020 Design</strong></b> and <b><strong>Mosaik</strong></b> (required).</li><li>Understanding of <b><strong>cabinet construction methods, materials, and joinery</strong></b>.</li></ul><p><b><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></b></p><ul><li>Proficiency in <b><strong>2020 Design</strong></b> and <b><strong>Mosaik</strong></b> for drafting, design, and production output.</li><li>Knowledge of <b><strong>CNC processes</strong></b>, nesting, and cutlist generation preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of <b><strong>woodworking materials, finishes, and hardware</strong></b>.</li><li>Ability to interpret and produce detailed drawings from architectural and interior design documents.</li><li>Competency with <b><strong>Microsoft Office</strong></b> and other project coordination tools.</li></ul><p><b><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></b></p><ul><li>Excellent communication and collaboration with design, production, and installation teams.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy and manufacturability.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></b></p><ul><li>Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.</li><li>Occasional visits to the production shop or job site as required.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Preferred (Not Required):</strong></b></p><ul><li>Experience with <b><strong>custom kitchen, bath, and architectural millwork</strong></b> projects.</li><li>Knowledge of <b><strong>rendering or visualization tools</strong></b> within 2020 for client presentations.</li></ul></p></p>
