<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: $38.00 + based on experience<br /><p>HML is looking for a Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT) or Certified Utility Arborist (CUA).<br /></p><p>Job duties:</p><ul><li><br />Arborist and tree care work scopes in and around Edmonton and surrounding areas, </li><li>50-75% travel away from home required,</li><li><br />Assess trees and shrubs and apply treatments as needed,</li><li><br />Plan and construct landscaped environments including trees, shrubs, lawns and other landscape structures,</li><li><br />Plant and move trees,</li><li><br />Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems / disease,</li><li><br />Use of chainsaws and other powered hand tools,</li><li><br />Pruning and shaping trees,</li><li><br />Chipping branches,</li><li><br />Grinding tree stumps,</li><li><br />Assisting with tree felling,</li><li><br />Assisting with ropes and rigging,</li><li><br />Aerial lift operation,</li><li><br />Operating chainsaws and other tree felling equipment,</li><li><br />Delimbing and bucking trees,</li><li><br />Climbing trees,</li><li><br />Survey and assess designated sites,</li><li><br />Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease,</li><li><br />Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions,</li><li><br />Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products,</li><li><br />Operation of leaf blower and debris removal equipment,</li><li><br />Follow all OH&S, municipal and traffic legislation and,</li><li><br />Operate according to the companys safety standards,</li><li><br />Landscaping Projects,</li><li><br />Dependable Team player,</li><li><br />Physically fit and able to lift moderate weight (30 50 lbs),</li><li><br />Snow removal in the winter,</li><li><br />Landscape equipment and tools regular maintenance.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Skills / Requirements:</p><ul><li>UTT or CUA accreditation</li><li><br />3+ years of experience as an Arborist.</li><li><br />CSTS training (required).</li><li><br />Leadership for Safety Excellence training (is an asset); Valid Drivers (air brakes) license with clean drivers abstract.</li><li><br />Able to successfully complete a drug & alcohol pre-screening and criminal record check.</li><li><br />Ability to work long hours (10 12 hours per day).</li><li><br />Must be able to work in varied and extreme (hot) weather conditions; Physically and capable of lifting +50lbs.</li><li><br />Strong work ethic; Safety conscious.</li><li><br />Must be able to legally work in Canada.</li></ul></p></p>
