Job Description

<p><b>Overview</b></p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable <b>Cybersecurity Specialist</b> to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer networks, operating systems, and firewall management, along with hands-on experience in VoIP and CCTV systems. A cybersecurity certification and familiarity with cybersecurity standards will be considered strong assets. This role also requires <b>strong report-writing ability</b> to clearly communicate security assessments, incidents, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure network configurations.</li><li>Monitor systems and networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.</li><li>Ensure security best practices are implemented across all servers and operating systems (Windows/Linux-based environments).</li><li>Provide expert-level support and configuration for VoIP and CCTV systems, ensuring they are securely integrated into the network.</li><li>Review and improve current cybersecurity policies, procedures, and incident response plans.</li><li>Prepare <b>detailed technical and executive-level reports</b> on cybersecurity posture, vulnerabilities, audit findings, and incident response actions.</li><li>Stay updated on the latest cyber threats and recommend upgrades or enhancements to security posture.</li><li>Support internal and external audits related to cybersecurity compliance and standards.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Engineering Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or IT (MSc, BSc or MEng, BEng.)</li><li>Strong knowledge of <b>Computer Networks</b>, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VPNs.</li><li>Expertise in <b>Server Operating Systems</b> (Windows Server, Linux) and core services (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, etc.).</li><li>Deep understanding and hands-on experience with <b>Firewalls</b> (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or others).</li><li>Familiarity with <b>VoIP systems</b> (e.g., Mitel, Cisco, etc) and <b>CCTV systems</b> (including networked video recording solutions).</li><li><b>Excellent report-writing skills</b> for security assessments, audits, and incident documentation.</li><li>Working knowledge of cybersecurity <b>standards</b> such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><b>Cybersecurity certifications</b> such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent.</li><li>Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and SIEM systems.</li><li>Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Benefits</b></p><ul><li>Competitive salary based on experience and certification</li><li>Professional development support and training opportunities</li><li>Flexible work environment</li><li>Company paid benefits program and more!</li></ul><p></p>
