<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Data Scientist, Non-Financial Risk Data Analytics and Valorization at Desjardins. This role focuses on quantifying non-financial risks, developing and maintaining advanced analytics and AI models, and supporting governance of risk models within the Risk Management Executive Division.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Design, use and develop mathematical models for non-financial risk management and diligently prepare associated documentation.</li><li>Identify and define business needs while balancing these needs with risk management, requirements and best practices.</li><li>Contribute to the development of use cases by taking a forward-looking approach grounded in data and analytics to achieve the Risk Management Executive Division’s strategic objectives.</li><li>Explain information in plain language appropriate for the target audience to facilitate comprehension and, if applicable, decision making.</li><li>Monitor the industry to understand and anticipate trends in non-financial risk to develop and update relevant best practices for the organization.</li></ul><h3>What We Offer</h3><ul><li>Competitive salary and annual bonus</li><li>4 weeks of flexible vacation starting in the first year</li><li>Defined benefit pension plan that provides predictable, stable income throughout retirement</li><li>Group insurance including telemedicine</li><li>Reimbursement of health and wellness expenses and telework equipment</li><li>Benefits apply based on eligibility criteria.</li></ul><h3>What You Bring To The Table</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, economics, finance or a related field</li><li>At least four years of relevant experience in data science</li><li>Note: Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered</li><li>Experience in risk management and quantification</li><li>Knowledge of French is required</li><li>Proficiency with SAS, SQL and Python programming tools</li><li>Knowledge of model management standards</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>Action oriented, customer focus, differences, nimble learning.
