This firm is at the forefront of decarbonizing buildings across Canada, combining technical expertise with a genuine commitment to environmental impact.</p><p><br></p><p>If you're passionate about designing the electrical systems that power a greener future, this role is for you.</p><p><br></p><p><b>About the role: </b></p><p>As an <b>Electrical Engineer,</b> you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver electrical design and consulting services for a variety of building projects - from energy retrofits to new high-performance developments.</p><p><br></p><p>You'll design and oversee systems that make buildings more efficient, resilient, and sustainable, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and access control systems.</p><p><br></p><p>You'll report to a Senior Electrical Engineer and play a key role in all project stages - from concept and design to construction support and delivery.</p><p><br></p><p><b>What you'll do: </b></p><ul><li>Design normal and emergency power distribution systems</li><li>Create lighting systems that balance functionality, aesthetics, and energy efficiency</li><li>Develop fire alarm and access control systems</li><li>Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations</li><li>Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders for coordinated design</li><li>Support construction administration: review submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform site visits</li><li>Maintain organized project documentation in line with internal standards</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What we're looking for: </b></p><ul><li>P.Eng. registered with APEGA or EGBC, or eligible for registration</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering</li><li>3+ years of experience in building electrical systems design (distribution, lighting, and fire alarm)</li><li>Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (or similar design tools)</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills</li><li>A genuine interest in sustainable design and reducing carbon emissions in the built environment</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Why join this company:</b></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits</li><li>Strong focus on training and mentorship from senior engineers</li><li>Collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on energy and carbon reduction</li><li>Opportunity to shape your career and specialize in areas that align with your passion</li></ul><p></p>Create Your Resume First
