<p>InVision is a Professional Recruitment Firm involved in Engineering, Industrial/Skilled Trades, Information Technology and Professional Services within Canada and the U.S. We have a successful track record working on both small and large recruitment projects, across North America.</p><p>Our client is a leading engineering consulting firm and is looking to hire an<br>Electrical Engineer<br>on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is an employee owned, multi-discipline consulting firm providing a comprehensive range of civil, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical, and structural engineering; planning; environmental; and project management expertise. This person will be completing full electrical design plans for Canadian Government projects.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Design and develop electrical plans and system layouts for commercial and industrial buildings, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.</li><li>Prepare detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, panel schedules, and conduit layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software.</li><li>Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations to ensure efficient system design.</li><li>Ensure all designs meet National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and industry standards.</li><li>Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and construction teams to integrate electrical systems with overall building design.</li><li>Review and approve electrical equipment specifications and submittals.</li><li>Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and support construction activities, inspections, and system testing.</li><li>Assist with cost estimating, procurement support, and preparation of technical documentation and reports.</li><li>Troubleshoot design issues and provide engineering support during installation and commissioning phases.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.</li><li>3–7 years of experience in electrical design for commercial and/or industrial buildings.</li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and electrical design software</li><li>Strong understanding of the NEC, NFPA, and local electrical codes.</li><li>Experience with lighting calculations is a plus.</li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.</li></ul><p>Employment Rewards:</p><ul><li>Full Time Permanent</li><li>Benefits</li><li>Paid time vacation</li><li>RRSP Match</li><li>Bonus</li></ul><p>All Qualified candidates will be contacted.</p><p>InVision is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind:</p><p>It is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.</p>Create Your Resume First
