<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Purpose: </strong></p><p>Electrical-Mechanical support for custom equipment in the manufacturing plant; this includes trouble shooting electrical and mechanical components adhering to Canadian/European electrical code.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assemble/build panel, electrical or electronic systems or support structures and units, subassemblies, assembly casings using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment as well as using appropriate tools such as wire/cable strippers, <span >ferrule/terminal/lug</span> crimpers, etc.</li><li>Field wiring (integration) and Mechanical assembly of the machine.</li><li>Adjust, repair, and troubleshoot all D & V Equipment. Electrical upgrade using Canadian Electrical Code. Power hookup to the machines. Mechanical upgrades, and additions, as well as tooling changes.</li><li>Read and interpret electrical, mechanical & pneumatic drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, or reports.</li><li>Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits using appropriate tools like multi-meter, torque drivers, etc.</li><li>Disassemble and prepare machines for shipment.</li><li>Installation at customer site, to include reassembly, test, troubleshooting, alignment and engineering support.</li><li>Customer service on site includes preventive maintenance, upgrades or any other issues that may arise.</li><li>Work with the engineering team on technical issues, design, and development and or technical issues.</li><li>Fabricate or modify parts, using shop equipment with supervisor approval.</li><li>Verify product descriptions, dimensions, and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to drawing specifications/ OEM instruction, using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, etc.</li><li>Basic power up and input & outputs check to ensure conformance to specifications.</li><li>Drilling, tapping and installation of the electrical, electronic, and pneumatic components such as <span >Disconnects/Breakers,</span> Contactors, Inverters, Motors, Motor drives, Power supplies, Relays, Terminal blocks, PLCs, Transformers and Sensors, etc., using corded/ cordless drill, cordless driver, <span >hydraulic/pneumatic</span> tool/driver, torque driver, etc.</li><li>Represents D & V Electronics Core Values and Ethics when on Customer Site.</li><li>Ability to travel worldwide independently via all modes of transport </li></ul><p><strong>Education and experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Electrical engineering diploma, electrical engineering degree preferred. </li><li>Active industrial electrician license (442A).</li><li>7-10 years' experience building control panels, field wiring and machine building.</li><li>Proficient in reading and interpreting control & pneumatic drawings.</li><li>Experience of CSA and IEC standards.</li><li>Proficient in using productivity tools such as wire/cable strippers, <span >ferrule/terminal/lug</span> crimpers, connector-pin crimpers as well as corded/cordless drill/driver, <span >hydraulic/pneumatic</span> tool/driver, torque driver, etc.</li><li>Conduct high quality work and maintain good records.</li><li>Able to travel to Customers' location worldwide as required.</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines under conditions of multiple demands and conflicting priorities.</li><li>Strong challenging spirit, Team player, quick learner, self-motivated, able to work under minimal supervision, and enjoy learning new things.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.</li><li>High degree of flexibility and be willing to work after hours and weekends.</li></ul><p>D & V Electronics Ltd. values their employees.
