We're currently looking for an Evaluation Coordinator to join our Healthy Aging Alberta team. </p><p> </p><p><br></p><p>Reporting to the Evaluation & Data Governance Manager, the Evaluation Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of evaluation activities across the Healthy Aging Alberta initiative and its Service Delivery Models (Community & Home Supports, Assisted Transportation, Social Prescribing). Healthy Aging Alberta Initiative (HAA) is a provincial initiative led by a Community Leadership Council (CLC) and backboned by United Way of Calgary and Area. Working closely with the Evaluation & Data Governance Manager, Data Analyst, and broader HAA team, the Coordinator helps ensure consistent data collection, contributes to evaluation tool development, and supports reporting processes related to service delivery models and the broader HAA initiative. </p><p> </p><p><br></p><p>This role helps operationalize evaluation across the initiative by developing tools, tracking commitments, coordinating evaluation workflows, supporting data collection processes, and helping staff and partners use evaluation systems effectively. The Evaluation Coordinator plays a key role in embedding evaluation into everyday practice and strengthening learning across HAA. </p><p> </p><p><br></p><p>If you are passionate about your community, aspire to make an impact, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to make a difference, then we're looking for you! </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>What you will do </b></p><p><b>Evaluation Coordination </b></p><ul><li>Coordinate evaluation activities across HAA and the Service Delivery Models, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and reporting commitments. </li><li>Maintain an evaluation calendar and help ensure internal and external deadlines are met. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Tool Development & Implementation </b></p><ul><li>Support the development, refinement, and rollout of evaluation tools such as surveys, templates, and feedback forms. </li><li>Ensure staff and partners understand and use the correct evaluation tools and data collection processes. </li><li>Support with Salesforce related activities, the primary data collection platform for HAA's funded partners. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Data Collection Support </b></p><ul><li>Coordinate distribution and collection of evaluation data from staff, partners, and events. </li><li>Administer surveys and reporting tools, ensuring completeness and accuracy of submissions. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Reporting & Evaluation Support </b></p><ul><li>Contribute to the preparation of evaluation reports and service delivery model reporting by organizing data and drafting supporting content. </li><li>Assist with preparing summaries, charts, and presentations that reflect evaluation findings. <b> </b></li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Capacity Building & Process Improvement </b></p><ul><li>Provide basic guidance to staff and partners on evaluation processes and tools. </li><li>Develop simple guides, checklists, or instructions to support consistent and intuitive evaluation practice. </li><li>Support improvements to evaluation workflows and documentation. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Internal Collaboration </b></p><ul><li>Work closely with HAA program, administrative, and evaluation teams to integrate evaluation into routine operations. </li><li>Support coordination for evaluation components of key strategic projects. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>What you will bring </b></p><p><b> Experience: </b></p><ul><li>3-5 years of experience in program evaluation, research coordination, data collection, or performance measurement, preferably in a non-profit, public sector, or social services environment. </li><li>Experience developing and administering surveys, reporting templates, or other evaluation tools. </li><li>Strong organizational skills with experience coordinating multi-step processes or projects. </li><li>Experience supporting evaluation activities such as qualitative data collection, basic analysis, and preparing summaries or reports. </li><li>Comfort working with data systems, digital tools, and online survey platforms (e.g., Simple Survey and Microsoft Forms). </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. </li><li>Familiarity with at least one scripting or query language (e.g., SQL, Python, or R) is an asset. </li><li>Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., evaluation, social sciences, public health, public administration, community development) or equivalent experience. </li></ul><p><b> </b></p><p><br></p><p><b> Attributes: </b></p><ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. </li><li>Ability to translate complex data and analyses into clear, understandable insights for non-technical audiences. </li><li>Comfort working with evolving datasets. </li><li> High degree of comfort with adaptive processes and a high tolerance for ambiguity. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and reporting cycles. </li><li>Proficiency and experience in creating a clear and useful evaluation question, identifying data that would be useful in answering that question, and organizing/analyzing/visualizing data to generate insights. </li><li>Collaborative and relationship-oriented, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, community partners, and external evaluators. </li><li>Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new tools and methods related to data, evaluation, and visualization. </li><li>Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and community-centered approaches; sensitivity to the experiences of older adults and diverse communities. </li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><b>Work Environment</b> </p><p>Our team values the flexibility that hybrid work offers, while also recognizing the importance of in-person collaboration.
