<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Reporting to the Controller, the <b><strong>Financial Administrator</strong></b> is responsible for processing and ensuring accuracy of financial records through clerical and administrative duties. General tasks include payroll processing, accounts payable/accounts receivable, assisting with reporting, research and resolving discrepancies.</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>Position Accountabilities:</strong></b></p><ul><li>Payroll</li><li>Accounts Receivable</li><li>Accounts Payable</li><li>Account Reconciliations</li><li>General Ledger Posting</li><li>Assisting with preparation of monthly reports & statements</li><li>Data Entry</li></ul><p> </p><p><b><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong></b></p><p><b><strong>Accounts Payable Function</strong></b></p><ul><li>Coding and entering vendor invoices, performing a three-way match where required, noting discrepancies and following up</li><li>Entering employee expense claims</li><li>Matching visa statements with supporting documents and entering transactions, following up on discrepancies with the cardholder and internal team members</li><li>Preparation of cheques, wire, and bill payments</li><li>Reconciling supplier statements with internal records</li><li>Ensuring that all vendors are paid in a timely manner</li><li>Monitoring the accounts payable e-mail box and following up on all vendor inquiries</li><li>Maintaining the A/P sub-ledger</li></ul><p> </p><p><b><strong>Accounts Receivable Function</strong></b></p><ul><li>Coding, entering and sending customer invoices for billing</li><li>Prepare bank deposits</li><li>Enter cash receipts, noting discrepancies and following up</li><li>Monitoring the accounts receivable e-mail box and following up on all customer inquiries</li><li>Perform customer collection calls</li><li>Maintaining A/R sub-ledger</li></ul><p> </p><p><b><strong>Other Accounting Functions</strong></b></p><ul><li>Ensuring reconciliations are performed for accounts payable and receivable subledgers, as well as other balance sheet accounts at month-end</li><li>Reconciliation of intercompany transactions</li><li>Adhoc reporting as required</li></ul><p> </p><p><b><strong>Education</strong></b></p><p>Completion of college or other related courses in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll Administration or other related field.</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>Experience</strong></b><br />2+ years’ experience in accounting and/or payroll capacity.</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>Skills:</strong></b></p><ul><li>Understanding of provincial and national governing legislation</li><li>Experience with systems such as SAP, MS Office Suite, ACCPAC, Simply Accounting, and/or Easy Pay is considered an asset.</li><li>Strong data entry and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of filing, financial and accounting computerized and manual systems.</li><li>Ability to work independently to prioritize work, balanced with leadership direction.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b><strong>Characteristics:</strong></b></p><ul><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Ability to multitask</li></ul></p>Company Description<p>Ottawa Mould Craft people are people with the right attitude, and people with the latest technology!
