Job Summary
The Belleville Senators are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Game Day DJ to join our Game Presentation team. This individual will play a vital role in creating a high-energy, engaging, and unforgettable in-game experience for our fans.
With a passion for music, sports, and live entertainment, the Game Day DJ will help set the tone throughout the game by controlling all music and sound effects, meeting all in-game and promotional needs.
Duties
- Attend Belleville Senators home games as scheduled by the Manager, Content & Game Presentation.
- Assist in curating and managing game day playlists tailored to various in-game scenarios (e.g. penalties, timeouts, intermissions).
- Monitor on-ice activity and crowd energy to select and play music in real-time that enhances the in-arena atmosphere.
- Mix tracks, create mashups, and blend songs as required to elevate the fan experience.
- Collaborate with the Game Presentation team, including production staff and announcers, to deliver seamless in-arena entertainment.
- Attend rehearsals, run-throughs and pregame meetings as required.
- Stay up to date on music trends, pop culture, and fan engagement strategies.
Qualifications
- Previous DJ experience is required; experience in a live sports or entertainment environment is considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to read a crowd and select music that enhances energy and atmosphere.
- Knowledge of various music genres, current trends and sports-related music cues.
- Strong time management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-pressure, live entertainment environment.
- Familiarity with DJ software and soundboard operations.
Job Conditions
This position required regular evening, weekend and holiday work, as dictated by the Belleville Senators home game schedule for the season.
