Be a vital part of a team that is shaping the future of neurological care, providing specialized services for stroke and TIA patients, including timely hyper-acute treatments and advanced neurosurgical interventions.</p><p><b>Why Choose Neurology at WRH?</b></p><ul><li>Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a highly respected multidisciplinary team of Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, and Interventional Radiologists, fostering a culture of shared expertise and mutual support.</li><li>Dedicated Stroke Care: Contribute to the exceptional care provided within our specialized 16-bed Acute Stroke Unit, dedicated to optimizing outcomes for stroke patients.</li><li>Comprehensive Patient Care: Ensure seamless patient journeys with readily accessible inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services available within our integrated healthcare system.</li><li>Academic Engagement: Participate in the education and mentorship of medical residents from the renowned Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry.</li><li>Flexibility and Work-Life Balance: Explore both full-time and part-time opportunities designed to support a healthy and fulfilling work-life integration.</li><li>Subspecialty Integration: We welcome Neurologists with subspecialty expertise to enrich our team and expand the scope of neurological services available to our diverse community.</li></ul><p><b>Your Role and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Provide comprehensive general neurology consultations and contribute to our acute stroke call coverage.</li><li>Offer expert assessment and management in our TIA and Urgent Neurology clinics, guided by the Division Chief.</li><li>Develop a thriving community-based neurology practice to ensure seamless outpatient access and continuity of care for patients across the region.</li><li>Participate in our regional Endovascular Thrombectomy (EVT) call rotation (1:4) with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, if you possess EVT training.</li><li>Contribute to collaborative neurovascular rounds to optimize patient management and outcomes.</li></ul><p><b>What you bring to Our Team:</b></p><ul><li>Certification or eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Neurology.</li><li>Current licensure or eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).</li><li>Completion of a residency in general neurology, complemented by fellowship training in one or more of the following subspecialties:</li><li>Stroke (with or without EVT training), Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy, Neuromuscular Diseases, Chronic Pain, Dementia, and Movement Disorders.</li></ul><p>Invest in Your Future and Make a Meaningful Impact in Windsor.
