Position Type: Permanent, Full-time Salary: $31.25 per hour Benefits: Extended health care Job Location: Unit 4 - 4890 Rutherford Road, Nanaimo, BC V9T 4Z4 Freightera is seeking a passionate and skilled Graphic Designer to join our team in the Nanaimo office, who will be playing a pivotal role in shaping the companys promotional initiatives and corporate brand identity. Your creative vision and design expertise will elevate our corporate image and amplify the brands reach. Responsibilities: - Consult with manager to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials in order to meet the established objectives - Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate means for communication - Prepare a diverse array of graphics and layouts using traditional tools, multimedia software and image processing, layout, and design software - Estimate timelines to complete graphic designs and illustrations - Coordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials - Execute website design enhancements - Conduct usability testing - Collaborate with illustrators and photographers, establish guidelines for them - Develop media content and digital designs optimized for different platforms, including social media and email marketing campaigns Skills and Experience: - At least 1-2 years of proven experience in graphic design - Completion of secondary school; completion of professional courses in graphic design or related field, or equivalent experience - Knowledge and experience with software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign), and other industry-standard tools - Familiarity with digital design trends and techniques - Good communication skills in English (verbal, written) About the Company: Freightera Logistics Inc. is an online consumer-friendly brand in freight with 5-star B2B customer service, offering customers in Canada and the US an award-winning online platform to easily access and instantly book shipping services at highly competitive all-inclusive pricing from hundreds of national and local trucking and rail companies.
