<p>• Location: Markham, ON- Hybrid Model: working onsite Mon/Tues/Thurs; working remotely Wed/Fri</p><p>• Start Date: Early/Mid November 2025</p><p>• Duration: 1 year Contract-(covering a mat leave period)</p><p>• Primary location is office based with travel (20%) throughout the Region from Markham to Burlington, Brampton and Barrie. May be required to provide vacation coverage for other locations within Ontario.</p><p>• Valid driver’s license and good driving record</p><p>• Occasional overnight travel required</p><p><br></p><p>This role exists to provide H&S support and guidance to regional locations. This includes the tactical delivery and execution of Health & Safety programs aligned with Strategic Priorities and in support of regional initiatives. This is only accomplished united with our company values of safety, integrity, respect and inclusion.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Note: 4-6 Years of Occupational Safety Experience in the Oil and Gas Sector experience is enough for this role</b></p><p><br></p><p>• Related University Degree, for candidates who do not possess a University Degree an additional three years of related experience is required.</p><p>• Minimum of 4 years of Occupational Safety Experience</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to be innovative, self-managed, strategic, initiate and manage change, work collaboratively, negotiate, influence without authority, facilitate, solve problems, make decisions, work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results.</p><p>• Strong research, problem solving, observation, analytical, and report writing skills with a keen attention to detail.</p><p>• Proven interpersonal, communication (all project organizational levels), writing and computer skills.</p><p>Excellent adult education and presentation skills.</p><p><br></p><p>Core Health and Safety Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Provide <b>technical health and safety support</b> for daily operations and to regional leadership in achieving safety goals.</li><li>Offer effective <b>support to Joint Health and Safety Committees (JHSCs)</b>.</li><li>Assist with the <b>implementation of the GDS Health and Safety Program</b> and integrate it with Safety & Reliability (S&R) programs.</li><li><b>Deliver and coordinate select safety training courses.</b></li><li>Lead <b>preventable motor vehicle incident investigations</b> and support the team for personal injury events involving GDS employees.</li><li>Provide <b>initial onsite incident response</b> for GDS, Corporate Service, and Project incidents.</li><li>Coordinate <b>Industrial Hygiene Testing</b> (e.g., fit testing, noise dosimetry, sampling) with the Occupational Hygiene team.</li><li>Demonstrate <b>visible safety leadership</b> through field visits, project support, orientations, and Safety Roundtables.</li><li>Support leaders with <b>early and safe return to work</b> and advise on <b>incident severity assessments</b> for Drug & Alcohol Testing decisions.</li><li>Assist the Real Estate Workplace Service (REWS) group (e.g., fire drills).</li><li>Conduct <b>assurance activity support (audits)</b> and serve as the <b>local liaison with regulators</b> (e.g., MLITSD), as required.</li></ul><p></p>Create Your Resume First
