This position is based out of our head office located in Vancouver, BC.<br /><br />_ The Opportunity: _<br /><br />We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department and work collaboratively with the payroll team, ensuring the smooth operation of various HR/payroll functions. You will have recent, direct experience working in an HR role in Canada and knowledge of payroll/HR policies and practices. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and you will be required to work in the office (head office).<br /><br />_ Main Responsibilities including but not limited to: _<br /><br /> Assisting with recruitment, selection, and onboarding<br /> Reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness<br /> Assisting with Worker's Compensation, Disability and Benefit Administration<br /> Providing support with the annual performance management and salary review process<br /> Maintaining employee physical and electronic files<br /> Maintain open communication with managers by assisting in day-today issues<br /> Understanding and ensuring compliance<br /> Assisting in the administration of group benefits<br /> Supporting in processing new hires, terminations, and personnel changes<br /> Working collaboratively with the Payroll team and utilizing ADP payroll system<br /> Generating payroll/HR reports as required<br /> Providing support with HR projects and company initiatives<br /><br />_ Requirements: _<br /><br /> Minimum 2 years of direct Payroll/HR experience in Canada.<br /> Post-secondary education in Payroll/HR/Business Administration<br /> Adept at interpreting and explaining various legislation, knowledge of Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Act<br /> Experience with ADP payroll system would be considered an asset<br /> Proficient in Microsoft Office products and familiarity with office equipment and working in a professional office setting<br /> Strong oral and written communication skills<br /> Proven attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to maintain confidentiality<br /> Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills<br /> Able to work well independently and as a team<br /><br />_ What we offer: _<br /><br /> Disability insurance<br /> Employee assistance program<br /> Extended health care<br /> Tuition reimbursement<br /> Vision and dental care<br /> Staff discount on Insurance products<br /> Career advancement through education reimbursement<br /><br />_To be considered for this position you must be legally able to work in Canada for our company._<br /><br />Please send your resume to <br /><br />_We thank all applicants for their interest in joining our team, however only candidates short-listed for an interview will be contacted.
