<h3>Hybrid Lead Systems Developer</h3>
<p>Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:</p>
<p>The Lead Systems Developer role extends beyond mere coding to encompass a deep understanding of software development in various industries. They are seasoned professionals with specialized skills in specific technology sets, honed through years of industry experience. A Lead Developer's role is multifaceted: they are adept in programming, software design, testing, and maintenance. They also excel in software development methodologies, enabling them to efficiently plan and execute the software development lifecycle. With their extensive knowledge, Lead Developers can write clean, maintainable code, debug and troubleshoot effectively, and are proficient in development and operations practices. This allows them to enhance the efficiency of the development process while fostering a collaborative approach to software development and deployment. Additionally, Lead Developers are skilled communicators, capable of explaining complex technical concepts in simple terms to diverse audiences, including stakeholders and non-technical team members.</p>
<ul>
<li>Plan, document, and determine technologies and options for a working solution of large to extra‑large complexity</li>
<li>Lead the approach, planning, and delegation of work for large to extra‑large complex initiatives</li>
<li>Strategic planning and the design of projects</li>
<li>Exercise expert decision‑making authority, particularly in technical matters. Make high‑level decisions about technology stack, system design patterns, and resolve technical disputes within the team</li>
<li>Lead, develop, and implement system features ranging from large to extra‑large complexity by writing new code and optimizing existing codebases</li>
<li>Develop frameworks and technical components that are reusable, to facilitate future development efforts</li>
<li>Serve as the Architect Owner (AO) within the Agile methodology, guiding the delivery team's architectural decisions and strategies</li>
<li>Provide developmental guidance and coaching to junior developers to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field</li>
<li>Engage in mentorship to foster professional growth and development within the team</li>
<li>Cultivate relationships that contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment</li>
<li>Advocate for and promote best practices to ensure high‑quality and consistent outcomes in all projects</li>
</ul>
<h3>How You Will Succeed</h3>
<ul>
<li>Have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs</li>
<li>Use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions, and proactively propose solutions</li>
<li>Have strong communication skills to clearly convey messages and explore diverse points of view</li>
<li>Build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues</li>
</ul>
<h3>To Join Our Team</h3>
<ul>
<li>Post‑secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline</li>
<li>Guidewire ACE certification</li>
<li>Extensive development experience with the Guidewire suite of products throughout the delivery lifecycle/system development lifecycle</li>
<li>5 or more years’ experience in Object‑Oriented Programming languages using Java technology</li>
<li>P&C Insurance industry experience</li>
</ul>
