<p>Co-Op<br>Opportunity<br>Information<br>and<br>Communications<br>Technology<br>(ICT)<br>Position<br>(2<br>Available)<br>January April 2026</p><p><em>Posted</em><br><em>November</em><br><em>13,</em><br><em>2025</em><br>Internal/External</p><p>Date<br>of<br>Appointment:<br>Monday January 5, 2026</p><p>Reporting To<br>Manager of ICT Client Support</p><p>Description<br>As a HWCDSB ICT Co-op Student, you will support the school board's technology team by assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, device setup, and user support. You will gain hands- on experience in a dynamic educational environment while contributing to the smooth operation of ICT services across schools and administrative offices.</p><p>Duties</p><ul><li>Prepare and configure hardware and software for deployment in educational and administrative settings.</li><li>Perform system imaging and software installations.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the deployment.</li><li>Provide user support and training on Windows 11 features and functionalities.</li><li>Accurately update Helpdesk tickets and resolutions, including asset information, in the Helpdesk ticketing System.</li><li>Use the Helpdesk ticketing system to manage daily work assignments and priority tickets, ensuring high customer satisfaction.</li><li>Provide training on HWCDSB endpoint devices and software to staff, both individually and in groups.</li><li>Recognize and escalate complex issues as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to ensure project milestones are met.</li><li>Support Audio-Visual equipment across school board networks, including interactive projectors and sound systems in classrooms, meeting rooms, and auditoriums.</li><li>Duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>Projects:</p><ul><li>Windows 11 Hardware Refresh Rollout.</li><li>iPad and Computer System configurations and deploys.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related post- secondary program.</li><li>Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and computer hardware.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.</li><li>Maturity in handling confidential information.</li><li>Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel to various sites within the HWCDSB geographic area.</li><li>Ability to lift and move objects up to 10Kg (e.g., computers, monitors, UPS units).</li><li>Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.</li></ul><p>Location:<br>St. Mary Catholic Education Resource Centre<br>Salary:<br>Minimum Wage plus 4% Vacation Pay</p><p>Last<br>date<br>for<br>consideration:<br>Thursday<br>November<br>27,<br>2025<br>at<br>4:00<br>p.m.<br>Applicants shall submit a resume and cover letter to Apply to Education.</p><p>Please include the full posting title within the subject line.
