<p>Position Details:</p><p>· Full-Time, Permanent</p><p>· Hourly</p><p>· On-Site</p><p>· Schedule: Monday to Friday</p><p>· Hours of Work: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. but must be flexible</p><p>Location: Edmonton, AB</p><p>Summary:</p><p>We are seeking a detail-oriented Installation Assistant to assist in transporting and installing a variety of signs. In this role, you will be required to assist in ensuring that the designs meet clients' specifications, assist in preparing the signs for mounting, managing the placement and installing of the signs, among other duties.</p><p>To ensure success as an Installation Assistant, you will need to be highly organized, have good knowledge about the types of signs, and be comfortable working at heights. An outstanding incumbent will demonstrate precision and possess a sound understanding of the applicable construction and installation techniques.</p><p>The primary responsibilities and duties include; but are not limited to:</p><p>· Assist in mounting and installing signs while strictly adhering to measurements and all safety protocols</p><p>· Assist in reviewing and comprehending blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.</p><p>· Assist in ensuring that signs meet client specifications in terms of spelling, font, size and medium.</p><p>· Safely loading and transporting signs, tools, and materials to installation locations</p><p>· Assist in preparing installation sites by removing old signage, preparing surfaces or structures, and securing electrical connections</p><p>· Assist in ensuring precise measurement, placement, connection, and installation of sign</p><p>· Clearing debris and materials from sites post-installation</p><p>· Assist in performing necessary maintenance and repairs on signs, as needed</p><p>· Utilizing hand and power tools and maintaining equipment in accordance with safety standards</p><p>· Collaborating effectively with team members and leadership</p><p>· Undertaking any additional responsibilities or duties as assigned.</p><p>Requirements / Qualifications:</p><p>Academic Training:</p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED.</li></ul><p>Work Experience:</p><ul><li>Minimum two years' experience as a Sign Installer or similar.</li></ul><p>Specific Competencies:</p><p>· Valid commercial driver's license and a clean driving record.</p><p>· Good knowledge of various types of signs including vinyl, channel letters, electrical signs, and road signs.</p><p>· A sound understanding of the applicable installation methods, materials, and safety measures.</p><p>· The ability to operate hand and power tools.</p><p>· Physically fit and able to perform strenuous labor including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.</p><p>· The ability to work in harsh weather conditions.</p><p>· Willingness to work during evenings and on weekends, as needed.</p><p>Please send resume to to be considered.</p><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p>Pay: From $22.00 per hour</p><p>Work Location: In person</p>
