This position is not confined to shop activities and may be required to perform field work on down buses.</p><ul><li>Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses</li><li>Diagnose equipment problems</li><li>CVIP Inspections</li><li>Respond to breakdowns</li><li>Spring and winter maintenance</li><li>Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs</li><li>Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities</li><li>Follow SOUTHLAND procedures and guidelines<strong> </strong></li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Journeyperson Ticket (Automotive or Heavy Duty)</li><li>Must possess own tools for the job</li><li>Fluent in written and spoken English</li><li>2 – 5 years related experience</li><li>Valid driver’s license</li><li>CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) License preferred</li><li>Exposure to working on diesel, propane, and gasoline engines</li><li>Experience with automatic transmissions</li><li>Analytical and troubleshooting skills</li><li>Strong diagnostic skills</li><li>Computer proficiency</li><li>Must be physically fit for duty</li><li>Ability to push, pull, drag and lift items up to 50 pounds</li><li>Ability to work in cramped or awkward positions</li></ul><p><strong>Remuneration</strong></p><ul><li>$42.50 per hour</li><li>Bi-weekly pay period (every second Friday)</li><li>Employee Benefits Plan (after 3 month probation)</li><li>Group Registered Retirement Savings (RRSP) Plan (available after 12 months)</li><li>Annual Tool and Boot Allowance (pro-rated from start date - available in last quarter of the year, and each subsequent year)</li></ul><p>#ZRHP</p></p></p>
