<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Our client based in Edmonton is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of fluid containment and control products in North America.</p><p></p><p>The successful candidate will be given significant responsibilities for feature design,<br />development and maintenance. Tasks will include adding new features to existing<br />products, maintaining older products, and exploring the integration of new technologies.</p><p>The successful candidate will need to be able to work alone, and as part of a team. They will<br />have significant input into the technical and product development decisions made by the<br />company.</p><p> As the Junior Systems Developer you will be a member of an integral team<br />responsible for developing system-based solutions by formulating programs, developing<br />and maintaining codes and documenting processes for consistency and continuous<br />improvement. You will collaboratively contribute to the team’s initiatives with the support<br />and guidance of your team members.</p><p></p><p>You will:</p><p>• Participating in the design and execution of program coding to implement features of small to medium<br />complexity.<br />• Contributing to an implementation and back-out plan for a single system.<br />• Assisting with unit testing for developed code, verifying functionalities and supporting system and user<br />acceptance testing.<br />• Develop and troubleshoot applications<br />• Develop database tables and queries<br />• Administer virtual machines and environments<br />• Transform verbal concepts into final designs<br />• Participate in product and feature implementation</p><p></p><p>You have:</p><p><p>• Demonstrable ability to program.<br />• Demonstrates accuracy and a strong attention to detail<br />• Effective time management skills, able to multi-task<br />• Excellent verbal and written communication skills<br />• Understanding and/or experience in working in an Agile framework and/or DevOps environment<br />• Can troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing realistic and innovative solutions<br />• You are a do-er and love to see things through to completion<br />• You strive for constant improvement in yourself and the company you work for<br />• Proactive at problem solving<br />• Ability to work under pressure and effectively deal with conflict</p><p></p><p>Technologies<br />• Proficient with HTML, CSS, Sass, JavaScript, and Git workflow<br />• Comfortable in both Windows and Linux environments<br />• Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu flavor) server environments<br />• Experience with Python development and Python data transformations. (2+ years)<br />• Experience with SQL scripting on one or more platforms Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, etc. (2+ years)<br />• Understanding of backend APIs</p></p></p></p>
