<p>With a career at The Home Depot, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger.</p><p>Position Overview:<br/>The Lot Associate's primary responsibility is to load orders into customer vehicles and ensuring the parking lot is safe and welcoming for the customer. Customer service and GET behaviours play a vital role in this position, as the Lot Associate is often the first and last Associate to interact with a customer.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:<br/>Ensures Customer Satisfaction<br/>Following Home Depot’s GET Model of customer service including Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking the customer.<br/>Maintain a sufficient quantity of carts near the entrance of the store.<br/>When required, ask open ended questions about the customer’s projects in order to determine their needs and level of expertise.<br/>Approach customers to determine if they need help loading product into vehicles and/or shopping carts.<br/>Plan the best method of loading and securing merchandise in customer’s vehicle as per Safe Loading Training.</p><p>Maintains Safety and Security<br/>Ensure that all exits/loading areas are not blocked or cluttered; sweep and clean debris off front apron and lumber loading pad.<br/>Follows all Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.<br/>Using appropriate safety procedures with all equipment.</p><p>Competencies:<br/>Communicates Effectively<br/>Customer Focus</p><p>Skills:<br/>Interpersonal skills<br/>Organizational skills<br/>Attention to detail</p><p>Direct Manager/Direct Reports:<br/>Front End Supervisor</p><p>Travel Requirements:<br/>None</p><p>Physical Requirements:<br/>Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items</p><p>Working Conditions:<br/>Working within a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekends.<br/>Warehouse environment that can be dusty and noisy.<br/>Working in all weather conditions - frequent exposure to different weather conditions when loading and unloading product.<br/>Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.</p><p>Minimum Education:<br/>Highschool Diploma or Equivalent</p><p>Minimum Years of Work Experience:<br/>1 to 2 years Retail experience</p><p>Minimum Leadership Experience:<br/>NA</p><p>Certifications:<br/>NA</p><p>Other Requirements/Assets:<br/>NA<br/>Apply Now Not ready to apply?
