Job Description

<p>Our client in the mining and petrochemical industry is seeking a LICENSED MACHINIST to add to their team just 20 minutes North of Barrie, ON.<br>

The Role:

<ul>
<li>
<p>Set up and operate manual machines to precision tolerances for static and petrochemical castings.</p>

<li>
<p>Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and follow ISO-standard routing instructions.</p>

<li>
<p>Accurately complete all required documentation, including operator work sheets and quality control forms.</p>

<li>
<p>Use overhead cranes and material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).</p>

<li>
<p>Troubleshoot equipment issues and proactively prevent downtime.</p>

<li>
<p>Fabricate custom jigs and fixtures to support production.</p>

<li>
<p>Operate a variety of machines including portable bevellers and horizontal boring mills.<br>

You Bring:<br>
 </p>

<li>
<p><strong><em>Red Seal Machinist license</em></strong></p>

<li>
<p><strong>8+ years</strong> of machining experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).</p>

<li>
<p>Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools (verniers, micrometers, bore gauges).</p>

<li>
<p>Solid understanding of machining tolerances, surface finishes, and safe material handling.</p>

<li>
<p>Ability to work independently and meet dimensional, quality, and productivity targets.</p>

<li>
<p>ERP/SAP familiarity is an asset.</p>

<li>
<p>Certified Crane Operator or willingness to be trained.</p>
