<p><h3>Role description</h3><p>Reporting to the AVP Corporate Financial Management and Reporting, Manager will be responsible for shared services expense including annual planning and variance analysis.</p><h3>What you will do</h3><ul><li>Actively manage, generate and deliver quality internal reporting including variance analysis</li><li>Coordinate annual financial plans for relevant corporate functions (Risk, Actuarial, Finance, Internal Audit, Human Resources, Communications etc.)</li><li>Manage corporate expense allocation and settlement process including simplifying and improving existing processes</li><li>Support corporate initiatives, business case review and tracking of costs/benefits including preparation of timely reporting to group CFO</li><li>Responsible for oversight reporting to various Board committees including resourcing plans</li><li>Key business resource for the Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) application for preparation of annual budgets and expense reporting</li><li>Support special/ad hoc projects for corporate functions (i.e. Compliance, Risk, Finance etc.)</li><li>Assess and adopt tools as appropriate to optimize work processes and elevate the function overall</li><li>Lead a team of dedicated finance professionals</li></ul><h3>What you will bring</h3><ul><li>Completion of a University degree and a professional accounting designation (CPA)</li><li>3-5 years leadership experience in a financial reporting environment</li><li>Experience developing or coordinating annual financial plans</li><li>Strong technical working knowledge of IFRS</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint) including advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and macros</li><li>SAP, Workiva, Power BI and/or BPC experience would be considered an asset</li><li>Strong time management and communication skills</li><li>Proven analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities</li><li>Early success in this position will require the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills and the ability to take ownership of issues in a clear and concise manner</li><li>Complemented by solid technical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills, a successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to establish key relationships and foster strong teamwork</li></ul><p>The base salary for this position is between <b>$84,900</b> - <b>$148,500</b> annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
