We are looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join our team.</p><p>As a valued member of the team, your core responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Assemble accurate tenders for bids and ensures these tenders are submitted in a timely manner</li><li>Obtain accurate pricing for equipment, materials and sub-contractors used</li><li>Contact necessary suppliers and sub-trades</li><li>Take off material labour using estimation hardware and software</li><li>Maintain all project changes (Addendums/new plans) for estimated costs</li><li>Complete tender for review and submits formal tender/bid by tender close date</li><li>Attend site visits</li><li>Prepare quote in Bid Template</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>The following qualifications are required of the successful candidate:</p><ul><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Project</li><li>Proven team player</li><li>Professional, approachable and customer-service oriented</li><li>Strong work ethic and positive team attitude</li><li>Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy</li><li>Good mathematical and analytical skills</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills</li><li>Understand and provide value engineering opportunities</li><li>Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail</li></ul><p>The ideal candidate will have the following:</p><ul><li>Completion of Trade or Technical school in the areas of Engineering, AutoCAD or Drafting plus 4+ Years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project) and knowledge in the use of estimation programs/software</li></ul><p>Compensation for this position will include:</p><ul><li>Group Benefits Plan</li><li>Pension Plan</li><li>Flexible work schedule</li><li>Great team environment</li></ul><p>If this opportunity interests you and you have the skills and experience necessary to be successful in this role, please apply by emailing your cover letter and resume along with your salary expectations to </p><p><em>We thank all applicants however only those considered will be contacted.</em></p>Create Your Resume First
