<h2>The Role:</h2> <p>RRC is seeking a talented Network Engineer (Mid Level) to join our dynamic team. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, configuring, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting network systems, ensuring their stability, security, and optimal performance.</p><p>RRC CORE VALUES</p><p>Must understand and personify RRC's core values:</p><ul><li>Client Satisfaction – understands the goal of always exceeding our client's expectations </li><li>Employee Happiness – able to work well with others, communicate clearly with coworkers, promote a positive work environment, and mediate conflicts between team members</li><li>Quality Work - able to take ownership, work independently, prioritize workload, and deliver quality results on time while working on multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Above and Beyond - versatile, flexible, able to anticipate the needs of the company, take the initiative, and willing to go out of your way to assist others</li></ul><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p><ul><li>Design, plan, and implement network solutions, including switches, firewalls, and routers, to support the efficient operation of our network.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define network requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational needs.</li><li>Configure and optimize network devices to ensure seamless communication and network availability.</li><li>Monitor network performance and security, proactively identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities, bottlenecks, or issues that may impact system functionality.</li><li>Conduct regular network assessments, performance evaluations, and system audits to maintain the highest standards of reliability and efficiency.</li><li>Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, protocols, and processes to facilitate troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex network-related incidents, minimizing downtime and ensuring prompt resolution of issues.</li><li>Collaborate with third-party vendors and suppliers to ensure the integration of their products and solutions.</li><li>Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in network design and implementation.</li><li>Provide training and technical guidance to junior engineers and technical support teams as needed.</li></ul><h2>Ideal Profile:</h2> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>3-5+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Demonstrate clear technical cybersecurity and programmatic understanding of all NERC CIP standards.</li><li>Firewall experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, and CISCO.</li><li>Experience with switch manufacturers such as CISCO, Hirschmann, and Moxa.</li><li>Ability to analyze network security requirements and implement perimeter security changes.</li><li>Strong Knowledge of data communications/telecommunications principles and practices.</li><li>Strong knowledge of security principles, best practices, and industry standards</li><li>In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, SNMP, Modbus, DNP3, and Ethernet/IP, as well as familiarity with industrial communication protocols.</li><li>Proficiency in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting network components, such as switches, firewalls, and routers.</li><li>Hands-on experience with network security practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods.</li><li>Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and network virtualization.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.</li><li>Proven experience in network performance optimization and capacity planning.</li><li>Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.</li><li>Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, SCADA-specific certifications, and cybersecurity certifications are a plus.</li><li>Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work seamlessly in cross-functional teams.</li><li>Working knowledge of the renewable energy industry and projects a plus.</li><li>Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site deployments, maintenance, and collaboration with remote teams.</li></ul><h2>What's on Offer?</h2><ul><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance.
