<p><h3>Neurologist (PRA-SP applicants may be considered)</h3><p>The Department of Internal Medicine, Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, and Shared Health Manitoba invite applications for a full-time Epilepsy Neurologist in the Section of Neurology with sub‑specialty training in Epilepsy and certification in EEG.</p>
<p>The successful recruit will hold an academic appointment in the University of Manitoba’s Section of Neurology, beginning at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor depending on current academic experience. Responsibilities include teaching, mentoring, and participation in urgent EEG and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) calls. Participation in general neurology call is not expected, but accommodations can be made for interested candidates.</p>
<ul>
<li>Program participation includes a 4‑bed EMU with capacity for intracranial SEEG and a multidisciplinary team comprising adult and paediatric epileptologists, an epilepsy and functional neurosurgeon, neuropsychologists, nurse clinicians, and EEG technologists.</li>
<li>The epilepsy surgery program offers resective epilepsy surgeries, electrocorticography, a SEEG Robot (ROSA), and vagal nerve stimulation, with prospects for deep brain stimulation surgery.</li>
<li>Academic duties include teaching, mentoring, and potential involvement in a highly productive research group and residency training program.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Specialty qualifications in Neurology in the country of current practice.</li>
<li>Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.</li>
<li>Certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred.</li>
<li>Completed at least 1‑year fellowship training in Epilepsy and EEG, including exposure to stereoelectroencephalography and electrocorticography.</li>
<li>Certification in EEG with CSCN or equivalent is required.</li>
<li>Qualified PRA candidates are encouraged to apply.</li>
</ul>
