Job Description

About Us

Dakota Prep is building the future of skilled trades education. We’re creating modern, AI-powered tools to help electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople learn the trade, pass licensing exams, earn certifications, and move forward in their careers.

So far, we’ve supported over 20,000 learners across 80+ schools, unions, and training programs in the U.S. and Canada — working directly with both individual students and the institutions that train them.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Operations Manager, Education to own and scale our education content and learning operations.

In this role, you’ll design and run the systems that power our curriculum, exam prep, and learning experiences. You’ll work closely with subject-matter experts, content creators, and our product team to improve quality, speed, and consistency across everything we ship.

You’ll report directly to the Founder.

  • Coordinate with subject-matter experts to turn technical knowledge into clear, structured learning materials
  • Design and maintain quality control systems for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
  • Improve content production speed using better processes, tooling, and AI workflows
  • Own content updates as codes, exams, and standards change
  • Organize and maintain our education library, question banks, and course structures
  • Track performance metrics related to learning quality, content output, and user feedback
  • Work cross-functionally with product and engineering to support new education features

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in consulting, operations, or a startup environment
  • Strong ability to design systems and improve messy processes
  • Comfort owning both strategy and execution
  • Experience working with subject-matter experts or technical content
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project ownership skills
  • A genuine interest in education, learning, or skills training
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment

Why Join

  • Flexible, remote-friendly role
  • High ownership and growth opportunity
  • Real impact on trades education
  • Help shape modern learning tools
