By working at The Care Company, you will be part of a growing company helping individuals live well in their homes!</p><p><strong>The Care Company is looking for an awesome, self-driven and highly organized and detail-oriented Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse (RN or RPN) to assist us with a pediatric home care client. We have a paediatric client looking for </strong><strong>overnight</strong><strong> nursing care 10pm-6am on TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS, AND FRIDAYS starting ASAP. </strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Shifts</strong></p><ul><li><strong>OVERNIGHTS 10pm-6am Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday ONGOING (same shifts, each week, every week, for the foreseeable future) </strong></li><li>Someone who can commit to the set schedule mentioned above with no interruptions to set weekly schedule</li><li>Consistency of care is very important to us and our clients. We are looking for someone to join this family's care team long-term to support the changing needs of their son</li><li><strong>*in-person training at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab will be required prior to starting with this client*</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>General Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs (hygiene assistance, bathing, and medications administration) that is within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse</li><li>Provide exceptional patient care as outlined in their care plans, supporting patients with all applicable medical needs</li><li>Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly</li><li>Assists clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as required</li><li>Observe the patients' medical health as well as their physical and mental responses</li><li>Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description</li><li>Completes records and documentation accurately and thoroughly</li><li>Correctly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure clients health and well-being</li><li><strong>must be able to commit to a consistent, on-going, weekly schedule of overnight shifts </strong></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Nursing Requirements: </strong></p><p>Must have previous complex care with any of the following interventions: </p><ul><li><strong>Tracheostomy Care </strong></li><li><strong>G, J, and NG tube care </strong></li><li><strong>Ventilators </strong></li><li><strong>Oxygenation and monitoring </strong></li><li>BIPAP and CPAP </li><li>Cough Assist </li><li>Seizure monitoring </li><li>Oral and Nasal suctioning </li><li>Diabetes management </li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Other Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Having previous trach, vent, g-tube, suctioning, and oxygen <span >administration/monitoring</span> experience is an asset.</strong></li></ul><ul><li>An asset if you own a vehicle and have a valid driver's licence (not required)</li><li>Negative TB Test completed within the last year</li><li>CNO Registration</li><li>COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code</li><li>Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.</li><li>Valid CPR/First Aid certification</li><li>Valid WHMIS2015 certification from the last year</li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English</li><li>Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed.</li><li>Having previous Paediatric nursing experience is an asset</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Competitive rates of pay ranging from $40.25/hour-$50.75/hour (depending on shift and designation) </strong></li><li>PPE provided</li><li>24/7 Nursing Oversight</li><li>Educational Training Opportunities</li><li>Employee Recognition Program</li><li>Health and Wellness Program</li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
