We are also looking to expand our team and hire talented individuals who are passionate about banking, payments, cryptocurrency, and working in a fast-paced start-up environment.</p><p><br></p><p><b>About the Role:</b></p><p>Infrastructure Management</p><ul><li>Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure using GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, and more.</li><li>Manage and optimise distributed systems and databases, including Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, and TimescaleDB, ensuring high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>CI/CD Pipelines</p><ul><li>Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, ensuring automated code deployment, testing, and integration across development and production environments.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Automation & Scripting</p><ul><li>Utilise Terraform to define and provision cloud infrastructure.</li><li>Write efficient, reusable scripts to automate processes and improve</li><li>operational efficiency.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Monitoring & Logging</p><ul><li>Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus and Grafana to ensure the health, performance, and security of applications and infrastructure.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Collaboration & Support</p><ul><li>Work closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes and ensure efficient and reliable releases.</li><li>Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues.</li><li>Provide assistance with IT-related issues for internal teams when necessary, focusing on onboarding and offboarding processes, managing user accounts and access via tools like JumpCloud, and administering corporate services such as Google Workspace, ensuring seamless operations and quick resolution of problems.</li><li>Provide out-of-hours support on a rotational basis as required.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Security & Compliance</p><ul><li>Ensure the infrastructure follows best practices for security, including access control, patching, and vulnerability scanning.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Skills and Experience:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar role.</li><li>Hands-on experience with GCP services and cloud infrastructure management.</li><li>Solid understanding and experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.</li><li>Strong experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitLab or similar tools.</li><li>Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and</li><li>orchestration in cloud environments.</li><li>Experience with managing and optimising Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Technical Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Cloud platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP)</li><li>Infrastructure-as-code: Terraform</li><li>CI/CD tools: GitLab CI (or equivalent)</li><li>Containerisation & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes</li><li>Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana</li><li>Distributed Systems & Databases: Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li>Internal IT Systems: JumpCloud, Google Workspace Administration</li><li>Scripting languages: Bash, Python, or similar</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Certifications in Google Cloud Platform (e.g., Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect).</li><li>Familiarity with other CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar.</li><li>Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, etc.</li><li>Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Why join us?</p><ul><li>Meaningful stock options in a rapidly growing company alongside a very competitive salary</li><li>Opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a 1st-to-market, fast-growing regulated fintech backed by tier-1 VCs, working with an incredible team of payment experts</li><li>Empowerment to take ownership at all levels and make high-impact decisions</li><li>Fun, collaborative and meritocratic culture with zero tolerance for politics</li><li>Work in a truly multi-national team (offices in Toronto, London, Amsterdam and Krakow, with more coming soon).</li><li>Hybrid working conditions - minimum 1 day per week from the office where the role is based</li><li>Option to work from any of our other hubs for up to 6 weeks.</li><li>All company retreats to celebrate successes and spend time together in person</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If you are keen to apply your skills in a role that blends precision with innovation, we would love to have you on our team.
