This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a professional with strong design-build and construction management expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to deliver projects of scale with precision and confidence.</p>The Opportunity<p>The Project Manager will be responsible for the full project lifecycle from initial budgeting and estimating, through design coordination, construction oversight, and final handover. With projects often running concurrently (e.g., 80,000 SF and 40,000 SF fit-outs), this role demands a detail-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can balance multiple priorities with ease.</p>Key Responsibilities<ul><li><p>Manage interior design and construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are consistently achieved.</p></li><li><p>Lead client-facing interactions, acting as a trusted advisor and translating complex project issues into clear, actionable solutions.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with trades, consultants, designers, and internal teams to align all stakeholders and ensure smooth project execution.</p></li><li><p>Prepare and monitor project budgets, estimates, schedules, and change orders to ensure financial control and accountability.</p></li><li><p>Oversee contract administration and ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and industry regulations.</p></li><li><p>Resolve challenges proactively with a collaborative and amicable approach, maintaining strong relationships with both clients and trades.</p></li><li><p>Balance the delivery of multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, ensuring seamless execution across all sites.</p></li><li><p>Provide leadership on-site, conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposals, pitches, and building client relationships.</p></li></ul>Candidate Profile<ul><li><p>7-10+ years of progressive experience managing corporate interior projects, with strong exposure to design-build and design + construction models.</p></li><li><p>Proven track record of managing full project lifecycles on projects upwards of 40,000-80,000 + SF</p></li><li><p></p>Strong knowledge of construction trades, contract requirements, and industry best practices.</li><li><p>Exceptional client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.</p></li><li><p>Highly organized, detail-driven, and able to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.</p></li><li><p>Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, estimating, and cost control.</p></li><li><p>Collaborative, approachable leadership style with the ability to motivate and guide teams.</p></li><li><p>Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required to travel to project sites across the GTA.</p></li></ul>Compensation<p>A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications.</p><p>To apply, send your resume and project list to: <span >kim@citybuildrecruitment.com</span> or <span >erik@citybuildrecruitment.com</span></p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
