Key sites: Trevose, Pennsylvania, Norfolk, Virginia, Minnetonka, Minnesota, Boulder, Colorado, Houston, Texas, Oakville, Ontario</strong></p><p><strong>Duties & Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Be a Strategic Partner to help to WIN projects, ensuring successful execution and improving margins</strong></p><ul><li>Work in conjunction with different stakeholders such as Project Proposal/Sales, Category Team, Engineering, Logistics,  Quality, and Procurement  to develop the best and optimized cost strategy for the projects, which include materials and procurement labor</li><li>Coordinate and lead project teams, focusing on procurement, during the tender phase</li><li>Guide project cost strategy utilizing quotations, vendor contracts, material costing database, cost standards and historical data</li><li>Develop and maintain cost standards, tools, and records to assist in future costing</li><li>Collaborate with project execution teams on cost strategy transfer and REX (Return-on-Experience)</li><li>Evaluate risk and contingencies to be included in proposal material costing; Develop and maintain familiarity with current and expected market conditions that affect costs</li><li>Maintain skills for the utilization of Company software, such as Google Suite and SAP</li><li>Adhere to the Company Values, Ethics, and Safety Policies</li><li>Ability to provide Cost estimation on 3rd party material cost </li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><p><strong>Hard Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Above average mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude in an engineering environment</li><li>Solid understanding of costing methodology, ability to apply logic and reasoning to properly develop costs with limited input</li><li>Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and specifications</li><li>Above average knowledge in engineering equipment or a manufacturing environment</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills </strong></p><ul><li>Effective communication & Team Spirit</li><li>Expert: Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the field</li><li>Strategic: Gets the big game. Taking responsibility for making tough calls when necessary</li><li>Ambitious: Identifies underlying truths and comes up with ideas that change the way we conceptualize issues, depicting a vision of the future that rallies teams to compete in new ways.</li></ul>Qualifications<br><br><p><strong>Education & Experience Required:</strong></p><ul><li>7 + years of combined work experience in the Water & Wastewater sector or other EPC environment as a Mechanical or Commercial engineer.</li><li>Project management, Procurement, and Supply chain background/ experience.</li><li>Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Engineering</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Skills and Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Candidate with an MBA, Master&#39;s Degree, and/or certification like CPM/CPSM, PMP, etc. </li><li>Solid understanding of procurement sub-functions and water treatment technologies (products and operations). </li></ul><br><br>Additional Information<br><br><p><strong>Working Conditions </strong></p><ul><li><p>Annual travel required. <10 primarily in NORAM.</p></li></ul><p>Additional Information</p><p>At Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
