REGIONAL CHEF

Be the next member of our growing team at Browns Restaurant Group (BRG). We are a multi-brand restaurant company developing and supporting restaurant franchise brands that wow guests and create business ownership opportunities for the motivated industry veterans. As Regional Chef, you will champion new BRG location openings and support franchisee training. You must be able to teach, uphold and be a role model for all operating standards and systems. Energy, passion, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task are critical for this role.


This position reports directly to the Director of Culinary Operations and is based in the Greater Vancouver Area. Time will be split between Langley and Vancouver, as well as visits to locations across Canada.


WHAT YOULL DO:

  • Hands-on development of Chefs, management, and staff in locations across the country.
  • Assess & provide feedback to franchisees on Kitchen Operations.
  • Ability to travel for this role is a must. At its peak, 2 weeks per month of travel may be required.
  • Act as Kitchen Operations resource to Chefs, GMs, & Owners
  • Lead training at location openings and oversee the kitchen training team.
  • Provide performance feedback to trainees and their franchisees.
  • Champion Brand Standards.
  • Lead development workshops.
  • Support Corporate locations with hands-on cooking and staff training.
  • Support training material creation and improvements.
  • Support special projects.


WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Passional for training and developing the people around you.
  • Exceptional culinary skills and a flair for food quality.
  • Experience in operating a systems and spec-driven kitchen atmosphere.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral including computer skills (Word, Excel, PPT).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet goals and deadlines.
  • A professional approach and foster a fun, culture driven attitude.
  • Exceptionally high standards on food quality, safety and possess a keen eye for detail.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, travel required.
  • Must have own reliable transportation.
