<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>RQ09734 - Sr. UX Designer</strong></p><p><strong>222 Jarvis St. </strong></p><p><strong>Hybrid: 3 Days onsite / 2 days remote</strong></p><p><strong>- From October 20, 2025, the candidate is required to work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day from home</strong></p><p><strong>- From January 5, 2026, the candidate is required to work onsite 5 days a week fully</strong></p><p><strong>Contract 6+ months, possible extension </strong></p><p>We are seeking a UX Designer to support the development of the Enterprise Data Product Practice, the Data Product Practice Portal, and several 360 data products. This role will focus on creating user-centered, accessible, and visually appealing designs that make complex information easy to use across the Ontario Public Service.</p><p>The ideal candidate will be passionate about simplifying complexity, enabling adoption, and championing user-centered design across diverse teams.</p><p><strong>Must-Have:</strong></p><ul><li> Create effective, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces for data products, portals, and analytics tools.</li><li>Design overall product functionality to ensure a great user experience; iterate based on user testing.</li><li>Lead user research activities (interviews, surveys, usability studies) and synthesize insights into sitemaps, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design recommendations.</li><li>Facilitate workshops (e.g., <strong>journey mapping, co-design sessions, usability testing</strong>) to inform design decisions.</li><li>Collaborate with product managers, developers, and data teams in agile environments to integrate UX throughout the product lifecycle.</li><li>Ability to clearly communicate design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li>Understanding of iterative product development cycles (<strong>Discovery Agile Beta Live</strong>).</li><li>Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g.,<strong> Figma, Miro, Adobe XD</strong>).</li><li>Strong understanding of accessibility requirements and enterprise design systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Nice-to-have:</strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with <strong>Ontario Digital Service Design Standards</strong> or equivalent government design frameworks.</li></ul></p></p>
