This role will focus on field execution, accountability, and cultural change, working closely with project managers and crews to embed safety into every aspect of planning and operations.<br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Drive a culture of safety by working closely with workers and project managers to embed safety into planning and daily operations.<br /></li><li>Review and update safety policies and procedures to meet OH&S and client requirements.<br /></li><li>Overhaul and maintain the Safe Work Practice (SWP) library, ensuring all procedures are covered and current.<br /></li><li>Ensure consistent execution of Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs), SWPs, and toolbox talks across all sites.<br /></li><li>Implement robust training and competency verification for all staff.<br /></li><li>Lead monthly safety meetings and training programs, and drive engagement in weekly toolbox talks.<br /></li><li>Maintaining ISN NetWorld, Avetta, Cognibox, and COR certifications.</li><li>Monitor and enforce compliance with PPE requirements and safe work procedures.<br /></li><li>Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments on construction sites.<br /></li><li>Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions.<br /></li><li>Monitor compliance, coach supervisors, and hold teams accountable for safety performance.<br /></li><li>Report safety performance and trends to leadership, providing recommendations for improvement.<br /></li><li>Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry best practices, recommending updates to strengthen the safety program.<br /></li><li>Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing safety concerns and guiding best practices.<br><br></li></ul><p>LOCATION: The successful candidate does not need to reside in Toronto. This role supports operations across Newfoundland and Ontario. Candidates based anywhere in Newfoundland and Ontario are welcome to apply.</p><p><br /></p><p>START DATE: TBD</p><p><br /></p><p>Education, Experience, and Skills Required:</p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Safety Management, Construction Management or similar (Minimum requirement is a college diploma and related experience)<br /></li><li>NCSO or CRSP Certification is required<br /></li><li>5+ years relevant experience in the Construction Industry.<br /></li><li>Standard First Aid & CPR training.<br /></li><li>WHMIS 2015 Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training.<br /></li><li>Proven success in improving safety performance<br /></li><li>Skilled in communicating expectations clearly and ensuring accountability across all levels of the team.</li><li>Comprehensive understanding of OH&S regulations in NL and ON, and their application within construction environments.<br /></li><li>Strong ability to identify hazards and implement practical, effective corrective measures.</li><li>Valid Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle.<br><br></li></ul><p>Applications<br />To apply, email your cover letter, resume, and proof of any relevant certifications to <span >HR@allrockconsulting.com</span> with "Safety Professional" in the subject line.
