We work at the cutting edge of technology to develop and commercialise superconducting quantum computers. The company is rapidly growing and has both hardware and software groups to achieve its goals.</p><p><br /></p><p>We are seeking a skilledHardware Engineerto design, develop, and test hardware components and systems for our products. The ideal candidate will have experience in circuit/schematic design, PCB layout, and hardware troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of embedded systems and electronic components.You will be working within our Quantum Control Electronics Team to develop next-Gen electronics to control large scale superconducting quantum processors. You will focus on design, development and testing of Electronics boards including power and digital hardware modules.</p><p><br /></p><p><span >KeyResponsibilities:</span></p><ul><li>Design and develop hardware components, including schematics and PCB layouts.</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, and manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration.</li></ul><ul><li>Perform hardware testing, validation, and debugging to meet performance and reliability standards. Implement automated test procedures to streamline standardized modules.</li></ul><ul><li>Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports.</li></ul><ul><li>Evaluate and select appropriate components and materials for hardware designs.</li></ul><ul><li>Support manufacturing and production teams with hardware-related issues.</li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelors (6+ years of industrial experience), MSc or PhD (3+ years of industrial experience) in hardware design and development.</li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar PCB design software.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong knowledge of high-speed digital design, power electronics<br />and analog circuit design.</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with CPUs, Microprocessor, Microcontrollers, and networking modules such as Ethernet, SFP+ or QSFP+.</li></ul><ul><li>Preferred - Experience with FPGA design, high-speed interfaces JESD204B, JESD204C, PCIe, DDR3 or DDR4, and RF systems.</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of compliance standards (EMC, safety, etc.).</li></ul><ul><li>Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping and lab equipment.</li></ul><ul><li>Able to work under minimal supervision and experience with product transition from engineering to manufacturing.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong teamwork capabilities, excellent organization and communication skills.</li></ul><ul><li>Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada or hold an Open Work Permit</li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
