<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Opportunity Overview: This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing fire engineering team in Canada. We are seeking a Senior Code Consultant with a strong background in building code consulting and fire safety engineering.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Technical Leadership: Lead projects and provide expertise in building code compliance and fire safety engineering practices.</li><li>Business Development: Cultivate client relationships and identify opportunities for growth in fire engineering and building code compliance services.</li><li>Project Management: Manage project delivery from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations.</li><li>Alternative Solutions: Develop performance-based alternative solutions and facilitate their approval process.</li><li>Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior staff, contributing to their professional development and growth.</li></ul><h3>Requirements for Success</h3><ul><li>Experience: Minimum 10 years in building code compliance and developing performance-based alternative solutions, ideally in a consulting environment.</li><li>Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in civil or mechanical engineering, architecture, or related fields; P.Eng. designation is preferred.</li><li>Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.</li><li>Business Acumen: Strong ability to identify opportunities, build relationships with clients and authorities, and exercise sound judgment in project management.</li><li>Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at managing complex situations and resolving conflicts.</li><li>Leadership Qualities: Proven track record in leading teams, managing projects, and achieving results in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><h3>Benefits and Compensation</h3><ul><li>Profit-sharing program (20% for senior-level positions).</li><li>Potential sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available.</li><li>Opportunity to become a shareholder, with share prices reflecting seniority and expertise.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment focused on professional growth.</li></ul></p>#J-18808-Ljbffr
