The Senior Manager will work closely with senior tax leadership to manage complex private client engagements while contributing to practice growth, mentorship, and technical excellence.</p><p>This opportunity is well-suited for an experienced Canadian tax professional who thrives in a client-facing, advisory-driven environment and is looking to take on a senior leadership position.</p><p><br></p><p>What You'll Accomplish in This Role</p><p><br></p><p>Client Advisory & Tax Leadership</p><ul><li>Manage a portfolio of private client engagements, including <b>corporate, personal, and trust tax filings</b>.</li><li>Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals.</li><li>Advise on <b>corporate reorganizations, mergers & acquisitions, and cross-border transactions</b>.</li><li>Partner with senior tax leadership to support client development and practice growth.</li><li>Deliver tailored tax strategies aligned with client objectives and risk profiles.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Technical Excellence & Compliance</p><ul><li>Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance across all tax filings and advisory work.</li><li>Stay current on Canadian tax legislation and regulatory changes.</li><li>Conduct technical research and contribute to internal standards and best practices.</li><li>Participate in internal training sessions, external presentations, and professional events.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Team Development & Culture</p><ul><li>Lead, mentor, and develop junior and intermediate tax professionals.</li><li>Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.</li><li>Present or instruct on Canadian tax topics, including participation in the <b>CPA In-Depth Tax Program</b> (required).</li><li>Support the firm's thought leadership through knowledge sharing and professional involvement.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>What You'll Bring to the Table</p><p><br></p><ul><li><b>CPA designation required</b>.</li><li>Minimum <b>6+ years of progressive Canadian tax experience</b>, ideally within public accounting.</li><li>Strong technical expertise in corporate, personal, and trust taxation.</li><li>Proven leadership, mentorship, and client relationship management experience.</li><li>Experience teaching or presenting as part of the <b>CPA In-Depth Tax Program</b> (required).</li><li>STEP Canada Diploma in Trusts and Estates considered an asset.</li><li>Client-focused, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Why This Opportunity?</p><p><br></p><p>This role offers the chance to step into a senior leadership position within a stable and growing firm that values technical excellence, integrity, and collaboration.</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Competitive compensation package</li><li>Meaningful advisory-focused work</li><li>Strong emphasis on leadership and mentorship</li><li>Long-term career growth in a professional environment</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Compensation & Details</p><ul><li><b>Base Salary:</b> $135,000 - $150,000 + bonus </li><li><b>Vacation:</b> 4 weeks</li><li><b>Benefits:</b> Comprehensive benefits package</li><li><b>Work Model:</b> Full-time, on-site</li><li><b>Location:</b> Mississauga</li></ul><p><br></p><p>All candidates must complete a full background check.</p><p><br></p><p>We use AI technology as part of our application review process to assist with screening and assessment.
