<p><b>Overview</b></p><p>We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Roofing Technician to work out of our Vancouver office.</p><p>This role involves specifications, investigations, and management of multiple roofing projects of varying scopes and complexities. Extensive roofing experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience with client relations, and proposal development.</p><p>We offer a dynamic organization with a competitive salary and benefits, flexible work schedules, and opportunities for advancement.</p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ol><li>Coordinate the preparation of CAD drawings</li><li>Prepare design tender documents</li><li>Develop technical specifications for roofing remediation projects</li><li>Collect field data for repair specifications, drawings, and tenders</li><li>Review shop drawings</li><li>Assist in compiling field and report data for specifications and drawings</li><li>Review drawings and specifications to ensure scope completeness and accuracy</li><li>Contract administration</li><li>Prepare design briefs for client approval</li><li>Perform wind uplift calculations</li><li>Prepare condition reports</li><li>Coordinate and attend project meetings</li><li>Coordinate interdepartmental design requirements</li><li>Schedule mockups and field testing</li><li>Monitor client scope and document changes as necessary</li></ol><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Post-secondary degree/diploma in Engineering, Architectural Technology, or related field</li><li>Minimum 4 years of roofing experience</li><li>Experience specifying roofing systems</li><li>Project management experience focusing on roofing remediation</li><li>Ability to read architectural blueprints</li><li>General construction knowledge</li><li>Attention to detail in calculations and data collection</li><li>Strong oral and written English communication skills</li><li>Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities</li><li>Self-motivated and capable of multitasking</li><li>Ability to work independently and in teams</li></ul><p>The salary range is $62,200 to $93,400, depending on education, experience, location, and certifications.</p><p>At Rimkus, we value diversity and inclusivity, fostering a respectful workplace.
