The Role:
Senior Rust Engineer - Fullstack & LLM Evaluation
Location: Remote — US, Canada, Australia, Western Europe (eligible countries only)
Contract Type: Contractor (no medical/paid leave)
Duration: 1 month (extensions possible)
Commitment: Flexible — minimum 10 hrs/week, up to 40 hrs/week (with partial PST overlap required)
Experience Required: 5–13 years overall, with 4+ years in Rust
About the Role:
We are seeking Senior Rust Engineers to contribute to building advanced datasets and evaluation tools that improve how Large Language Models (LLMs) interact with real-world software repositories.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of full-stack engineering, open-source ecosystems, and AI research.
What You'll Do:
- Work on diverse projects, improving LLM reasoning across real software engineering tasks.
- Deliver end-to-end use cases (e.g., automation agents, coding copilots, creative assistants).
- Review and rank multiple model-generated code responses per task.
- Evaluate code diffs for correctness, maintainability, style, and efficiency.
- Provide structured feedback and clear rationales for evaluation decisions.
- Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers on frontier challenges.
Engagement Details:
- Type: Contractor (independent, no benefits).
- Duration: 1 month (with potential extensions).
- Hours: 10–40 hrs/week, with partial overlap with Pacific Standard Time.
- Eligibility: Only citizens/GC/valid work permit holders in the US, Canada, Australia, or Western Europe. H-1B not eligible.

Ideal Profile:
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of overall software engineering experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on Rust development experience.
- Prior full-time experience at a top-tier tech company in the US, Canada, Australia, or Western Europe (contractor/part-time experience not eligible).
- Proven expertise in full-stack development, software architecture, debugging, and code review practices.
- Strong ability to assess and evaluate code diffs for quality and efficiency.
