We are a technology company that leads with our humanity, driving business priorities alongside meaningful social, community, and societal impact.</p><p>Sr. Talent Acquisition Partner – NA Sales, PLM & Supply Chain at Ciena | Passionate about connecting top talent with impactful roles.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Perform technical tasks, including written proposals, network design and engineering, and quotes.</li><li>Communicate solutions to customers and work with the internal Ciena organization.</li><li>Perform network and applications engineering for multiple Ciena products.</li><li>Complete complex network designs for customer applications of Ciena networking products.</li><li>Proficient in use of Ciena network design and modeling tools.</li><li>Prepare quotations and assist in proposal preparation for Ciena products and upgrading actual design.</li><li>Provide product and technical expertise to support Sales efforts of Ciena products.</li><li>Prepare complex design and applications presentations.</li><li>Gain understanding of Salesforce/Quoting Tools.</li><li>Travel 30-50% required.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><h3>Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Consult with potential and current customers on application of Ciena products for next-generation architectures.</li><li>Interface with sales group and product management/marketing to develop and/or propose product enhancements to meet customer requirements.</li></ul><h3>Technical Knowledge & Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Technical degree; BSEE or relevant experience; 5-12 years telecommunications industry experience; prior experience as a contributor on a sales account team.</li><li>Technical expertise in data networking including IP, Ethernet and other data networking protocols; general technical knowledge of fiber optic transmission systems (OTN, SONET, WDM), telecommunication networks, storage networks and network management; excellent verbal and written communications skills; excellent presentation skills.</li><li>Understanding of telecommunications, storage and data communications network architectures.</li><li>Technical knowledge in areas such as:<ul><li>Software applications (Automation, Orchestration, Inventory, Analytics)</li><li>Fibre optics, Packet Optical Networking, DWDM, SONET, Storage Area Networking</li><li>Packet, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS-TP, IP/MPLS</li><li>Open Architecture (Openstack, REST API, Netconf, YANG, TOSCA)</li><li>Programming Language (Python, JSON)</li></ul></li><li>Multi-tasking: able to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.</li><li>Motivated technical individual interested in advanced optical, Ethernet and storage networking architectures and network automation best practices.</li><li>The ability to demonstrate experience in technical sales activities and to understand customer needs to develop customer solutions and relationships.</li></ul><h3>Compensation & Benefits</h3><p>The annual pay range for this position is $144,000 - $230,000 USD. Pay ranges reflect variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations. The posting pertains to the primary location listed.</p><p>Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus; Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
