<p><h3>External Job Description</h3><p>Reporting to the Production Manager, the Group Manager is a front-line leadership role at JELD-WEN’s Winnipeg manufacturing site. This position supports and motivates production teams to meet goals and uphold our high product quality standards. With a focus on safety and continuous improvement, the Group Manager is key to our operational success and team culture.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Develop and execute production plans to meet targets efficiently.</li><li>Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies.</li><li>Deliver hands-on safety training.</li><li>Monitor team performance and hold employees accountable to goals.</li><li>Support employee development through coaching, training, and feedback.</li><li>Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement manufacturing processes.</li><li>Track attendance using the digital timekeeping system.</li><li>Plan labor needs based on production demands.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Post-secondary education or equivalent management experience.</li><li>3–5 years of manufacturing leadership experience required.</li><li>Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li><li>Knowledge of windows and doors manufacturing is an asset.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.</li><li>Willingness to learn hands-on to support training and mentorship.</li><li>Experience with LEAN and Continuous Improvement is an asset.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a diverse workplace.</li><li>Strong time management and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.</li><li>Familiarity with UKG Dimensions or similar timekeeping systems is an asset.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude and ERP/data management experience are assets.</li></ul><p><b>What We Offer:</b></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits (health, dental, life insurance).</li><li>Employee & Family Assistance Program.</li></ul><p>JELD-WEN is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation based on individuals’ physical traits, beliefs, and/or other characteristics that are protected under applicable laws.</p><p>JELD-WEN does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.</p></p>
