We are hiring an afternoon City Dispatcher for a large Transportation company located in the Brampton area. Salary: $50,000-55,000/year based on experience Schedule: Afternoon shift Monday-Friday Responsibilities: - Coordinating/scheduling/dispatching city drivers according to customer requirements (trucks, straight trucks, and owner operators) - Monitoring driver routes to ensure timely delivery of freight - Determining routing problems and resolving issues ASAP - Recording mileage, fuel use and repairs - Acting as the liaison between company drivers and customers - Communicating with drivers during trips to ensure smooth delivery of freight - Ensuring drivers have all necessary paperwork before dispatching to client sites, including alternate routes or special instructions for delivery - Other duties as required Qualifications: - Previous experience in a Dispatching role within the Transportation/Logistics industry - Strong knowledge of the GTA - Able to work independently - Strong customer service skills - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - Comfortable with drivers/driver paperwork - Able to work full-time on the afternoon shift Apply now!
