Job Description
Our client, in the logistigs field, is seeking a Class 5 Driver to join their team. Job Title: Class 5 Driver/CourierLocation: Mississauga, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 5:00pm (This is a fixed shift which requires full availability Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate: $18-$22/hour (based on experience and qualifications)What’s the Job?
* Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules
* Assist in the facility as needed at each stop
* Maintain and monitor trailer temperature from departure to arrival to always preserve ambient temperature
* Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers
* Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete the truck inspection log daily with samsara fleet What’s Needed?
* Valid Class 5 Driver's License for at least 3 years required
* Over the age of 25 years (to meet company insurance requirements)
* Ability to provide a clear driver's abstract and proof of clear criminal history
* 2-3 years experience as a driver/ parcel delivery required
* Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with Dispatch and customers
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Strong oral and written communication skills in English
* Geographical knowledge of Mississauga and surrounding areas What’s in it for me?
