<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Construction Safety <span >Professional/Safety</span> Officer<br />Civil Works, Site Development, Mining<br />Kamloops area, BC<br />14/7 Rotation, on-site, immediate start<br />6 month contract, potential for permanent hire<br />$95K-120K, based on experience + Daily LOA</strong></p><p><strong>Our Client</strong><br />We are working with our Civil General Contractor client to assist in mobilizing a large project near Kamloops/Southern Interior BC. We require a Safety Officer/Safety Professional experienced and knowledgeable in civil construction to join our client on this exciting project for a minimum of 6 months contract role.</p><p><strong>*See our other ads for more open positions on this project*</strong></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li><p>Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety<br /></p></li><li><p>Creating and implementing health and safety programs, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulations. <br /></p></li><li><p>Identifying potential safety and health hazards on construction sites, including those related to equipment, materials, and work practices. </p></li><li><p>Conducting regular inspections of construction sites, equipment, and work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards. </p></li><li><p>Providing safety training to construction workers on topics such as safe work procedures, use of equipment, and emergency response. </p></li><li><p>Encouraging a positive safety culture among workers and fostering a commitment to safe work practices. </p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills and work ethic</p></li><li><p>Proficient in MS Office Suite, industry related softwares</p></li><li><p>Ability to work on-site for scheduled rotation, immediate availability is preferred.</p></li></ul><p>If this role matches your experience and you are ready to get involved, we&#39;d like to hear from you.
