<p><strong>Pay:</strong> CA$40,000.00 - CA$65,000.00 per year</p> <p><strong>Note:</strong> This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Laval QC office (with the possibility of hybrid flexibility in the future).<br><strong>Note: </strong>The qualified candidate for this position must have prior family law experience and be fluent in both French and English.</p> <p><strong>About Our Client</strong></p> <p>Our client is a respected family law firm providing compassionate and effective legal representation. They support clients through divorce, child custody, and support matters with professionalism, expertise, and care.</p> <p><strong>Job Description</strong></p> <ul><li>Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, custody, and support guidelines</li><li>Draft and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, agreements, and subpoenas</li><li>Prepare and review discovery requests and financial disclosures (income, assets, expenses)</li><li>E-file motions, orders, and pleadings with the appropriate courts</li><li>Manage case timelines, deadlines, hearings, and attorney calendars</li><li>Communicate with clients to gather documents and provide status updates</li><li>Maintain detailed case files and organized evidence records (digital and paper)</li><li>Summarize evidence, testimony, and key case developments</li><li>Support attorneys with billing entries, draft invoices, and expense records</li></ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul><li>Bilingual fluency in French and English (required)</li><li>Proven experience as a Family Law Paralegal (minimum 2+ years preferred)</li><li>Strong knowledge of court procedures, filing systems, and discovery processes</li><li>Excellent drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive client communications with professionalism</li><li>Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Canadian citizenship preferred (valid work authorization required at minimum)</li></ul> <p><strong>Why This is a Great Opportunity</strong></p> <ul><li>Join a respected family law practice with a reputation for success</li><li>Opportunity to take on meaningful, client-centered cases</li><li>Professional growth in a bilingual, collaborative environment</li><li>Competitive compensation and benefits package</li><li>Stable full-time position with potential hybrid flexibility in the future</li></ul> <p><strong>JPC-414</strong></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
