The Role

We are currently hiring Pallet Builders to join a fast-paced manufacturing company located in Smithville. This role involves building wooden pallets using a pneumatic nail gun, working with raw lumber, and meeting daily production targets. This role is ideal for someone looking for steady long-term work. This is a great temp-to-permanent role with a great company that cares about your work and you personally.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wooden pallets according to specifications
  • Operate a pneumatic nail gun safely and efficiently
  • Measure, align, and secure wood components
  • Inspect finished pallets for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Meet daily production goals
  • Read blueprints to build wood products
  • General warehouse duties


Requirements

  • Experience using hand tools is preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted; lifting is a regular activity
  • Must have steel-toed boots/shoes ( Green Seal CSA Approved )
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Have a great team attitude and willingness to help
  • Good communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a loud environment
  • Strong safety adherence, including wearing all provided PPE
  • Comfortable standing and working on your feet for the entire shift
  • Strong attention to safety and quality
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Manufacturing or construction experience is an asset
