Legal Assistant – Real Estate LawContribute to a structured legal environment within the insurance industry, supporting real estate law professionals. Partial remote work, diverse responsibilities, bilingual position, in a collaborative and engaging setting.

Responsibilities:
• Edit, transcribe, and format a variety of legal and administrative documents.
• Compare documents using specialized tools (e.g., Litera Compare).
• Manage calendar, calls, emails, and reminders for the legal professional.
• Coordinate travel bookings, meeting rooms, meals, and event logistics.
• Open, organize, archive, and update client files.
• Handle monthly billing, expense accounts, and time entry follow-ups.
• Prepare check requests, bank transfers, and conflict searches.
• Provide cross-functional support to other assistants, interns, articling students, or departments as needed.
• Assist with tasks related to internal or external committees.
• Administer oaths for lawyers and clients.
What you will need to succeed:
• Diploma in legal secretarial studies or equivalent.
• 7 years of experience in a private law firm, ideally supporting partners.
• In-depth knowledge of legal procedures and practices.
• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written), to interact with internal and external clients across Canada and internationally, as part of daily communications and administrative tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Initiative, autonomy, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in common office software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
